Ontario Respiratory Virus Tool

The Ontario Respiratory Virus Tool provides comprehensive epidemiological information on respiratory virus activity in Ontario, including COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and other respiratory viruses. Explore respiratory virus data including case trends, outcomes (hospital bed occupancy, ICU bed occupancy, and deaths), laboratory testing, and outbreaks.

Updates as of April 5, 2024:

• The Summary tab has been re-designed to include a new ‘Overall’ section with a more integrated view of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV data, as well as a new ‘Trends’ section that includes a quick view of data trends over the past year.
• The ‘Outcomes’ tab can now be accessed from the main navigation bar (formerly found under ‘Cases’)
• The ‘Surveillance Period’ section embedded in the ‘Cases’, ‘Outcomes’, ‘Lab testing’, and ‘Outbreaks’ tabs now includes a view called ‘Surveillance Period Totals’.
• A new ‘Data tables’ section has been added to the ‘Cases’, ‘Outcomes’, ‘Lab testing’, and ‘Outbreaks’ tabs which allows the user to customize a data table using filters before extracting the data to a csv file.
• An enhanced mobile friendly layout will now display when accessing the tool on a mobile device.
